Laura Pedretti (female) achieved the BSc (2018) and MSc (2020) degrees in Applied Geological Sciences from the University of Pavia (Italy), where she is currently pursuing a PhD in Earth and Environmental Sciences. Her research activity focuses on the development of an innovative methodology using A-DInSAR data for the identification of different component of ground motion, for sustainable land use and for management and planning of the territory. During her MSc thesis, she studied issue and challenges regarding subsidence in delta cities occurring in different geological, geomorphological contexts and related to different causes. In particular, she focused on the relation between subsidence and groundwater extraction with the support also of hydrogeological models. Her MSc thesis results contributed to the update of the world map of UNESCO Land Subsidence International Initiative (LaSII) database.
