Hazem Hreisha, Azraq Wetland Reserve Manager at The Royal society for the conservation of Nature (RSCN) I have more than 10 years of experience in wetland management and restoration. I am Leading the management planning process of the reserve based on international standards for management planning and knowledge of the global and national classification of protected areas and according to the guidelines of the IUCN in a comprehensive scientific and methodical way. My team and I succeeded to accomplish and restore 10% of the former oasis by exerting many efforts to continue with rehabilitation plans in the site. I participated in the development of reserve zoning plans, including the buffer zone. I also worked on gaining an international recognition for the wetland such as “green list” for best management practices In the world. I have also considerable years of experience in ecotourism, environmental education and outreach. I have also an experience in ornithology. I was a member of national dialogue of Azraq basin 2006 and highland water forum 2009-2014. I have worked on building and sustaining a close and solid relationship with local community target groups, influential decision-makers and different NGOs sectors.
