Project Coordinator

Claudia Meisina (female) received in 1996 her PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Pavia (Italy). Currently is full professor in Engineering Geology at the DSTA, where she leads the Laboratory of Engineering Geology and Geotechnics. She has been a post-doc at the BRGM in France. She is Secretary of the Italian Association of Engineering Geology. She is involved as PI in several national and international projects exploiting the application of the Interferometric techniques for monitoring ground deformation. She published 50+ peer- reviewed papers and 70+ papers in peer-reviewed conference proceedings/book chapters in the field of engineering geology. Claudia’s research activity is mainly addressed on development and application of methodologies for subsoil geological model and for engineering geological mapping to support geohazard assessment. Her expertise is also related to the geological interpretation of advanced DInSAR data with particular focus on landslides and subsidence identification and monitoring.
