Jorge Hornero Díaz

His work focuses on regional hydrogeological studies. He is mainly interested in the use of hydrochemical and isotopic tracers applied to the evaluation of recharge and hydrogeological functioning in aquifers located in semi-arid environment. Other remarkable lines of research are the study of the tunnel-aquifer relationship; deep aquifers; influence of seismotectonic activity on the composition of groundwater; and assessment of the sources and processes in groundwater contamination.
