Her research is focused on understanding the relationship between processes associated with the earthquake cycle and geological structures. She is particularly interested in factors controlling fault segmentation, the particular behaviour of intersegment regions and its relationship with tectonic complexity. She uses Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) to measure ground displacements associated with the accumulation and release of strain in the earthquake cycle. She is mostly specialized in subduction zone processes, though she is also interested in studying these subjects in continental faults.
